Wellcome Images Prize 2021: Putting photos seize the truth of Covid-19 all around the environment

Tasked with telling visual tales all around themes of mental health and fitness, fighting bacterial infections and weather alter, entrants to the Wellcome Images Prize produced far more than 10,000 photographs from about the world, with the two prime awards – and £10,000 prize dollars – likely to photographers from the United kingdom and Indonesia.

Film maker Jameisha Prescod’s self-portrait, winner of the solitary image prize, showed her kitting in her London flat, an exercise she applied to cope with her melancholy during lockdown.
