Suicide Squad 1st evaluations: Critics hail ‘super violent’ and ‘bonkers’ film with a ‘wild a** aesthetic’

The early testimonials for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad are in, and the verdict is overwhelmingly beneficial.

Written and directed by Gunn, the forthcoming film will serve as a follow-up to the 2016 film Suicide Squad by David Ayer, which, even with being a business achievement, was panned by supporters and critics.

The film’s ensemble forged incorporates Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, John Cena as the Peacemaker, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Saturday Night Stay alum Pete Davidson joins the cast as Blackguard, with Peter Capaldi also established to star.
