Pierce Brosnan steals props from movie sets.
The 67-yr-old actor – who performed James Bond in four films from 1995 to 2002 – has uncovered he is taken a lot of copies of properly-acknowledged paintings that featured in ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’.
Pierce explained: “Just one of the most effective events was to see the artwork heading up on the wall. They were being all reproductions of Renoirs, Chagall and Picasso. I did take some.”
The Hollywood star – who was born in Ireland but now lives in the US – revealed that some of the paintings are now hanging in his home in Malibu.
He explained to the ‘Talk Art’ podcast: “I took a Renoir mom and little one painting, a Gauguin pink pet, a wonderful Van Gogh which I had in Malibu of autumn trees.”
Pierce formerly admitted that becoming an actor has been a “liberating” expertise for him.
He explained: “Once I identified the earth of performing, I clung to it with all my heart. It was liberating.”
Pierce enjoyed achievement as a stage actor, but Pierce constantly wanted to create himself in Hollywood.
He mentioned: “I often dreamed of the films. The phase, as exhilarating as it was, normally terrified me. I wanted to be up on the silver display screen.”
Pierce savored a massive breakthrough in 1993, when he starred along with Robin Williams and Mara Wilson in ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’.
Reflecting on building the comedy motion picture, Pierce shared: “At day’s conclusion, you want to search all around and ideally you have a handful of movies that you can be happy of participating in. That is absolutely one of these films for me.”
Pierce also has fond recollections of working with the film’s late star.
He said: “I went into the makeup trailer and there was Robin, sitting down in the makeup chair. He had a Hawaiian shirt on and cargo pants, and his furry arms and bushy legs hanging out.
“He had the head of ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ and greeted me: ‘Oh, Pierce! Oh, you glimpse so handsome, oh, give us a kiss.'”
